Spatial Heterogeneity of Selected Soil Nutrients Related to Torreya grandis cv. Merrillii Plantation in Southeastern China

Chinese Torreya grandis (Torreya cv. Merrillii) is a unique economic tree species in China. Intensive management related to application of chemical fertilizer and herbicides caused serious soil quality degradation plantations. Totally, 120 samples were collected from the main disbtributed areas Southeastern In this area, pH values varied 3.68 6.78, with median value 4.91, implying trend acidification. The average concentrations organic matter, available nitrogen, phosphorus potassium 27.52 g kg−1, 135.77 mg 15.12 153.43 respectively. results spatial analysis revealed that target variables had clear patterns. fertility was relevantly high most study nutrient imbalances existing. stand age large effect on properties, which also mainly influenced by human activities. Therefore, it necessary change fertilization method for sustainable plantation.
